Mr. Tabor received his Bachelor of Science in Finance from the Kelly School of Business at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana. Thereafter, Mr. Tabor was awarded a resident merit scholarship to attend law school at Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law.
In law school, Mr. Tabor received Dean’s List honors for his academic achievements and was awarded graduate certificates of excellence in the areas of commercial law, corporate law, and advocacy. In addition, Mr. Tabor was awarded with the Norman Lefstein Award of Excellence for his significant pro bono service to the poor and elderly throughout his time in law school. During law school, Mr. Tabor worked at one of the largest private law firms in west central Indiana where he worked primarily in the areas of insurance defense, insurance coverage litigation, and real estate. Mr. Tabor also worked for the Office of the United States Trustee in Indianapolis, Indiana where he assisted with the administration of Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 bankruptcy cases. Mr. Tabor also has trial experience representing indigent persons charged with misdemeanors and Level 6 felonies as a certified legal intern through the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law Criminal Defense Clinic.
After becoming licensed to practice law in the state of Indiana, Mr. Tabor was recruited for employment by an international commercial and corporate law firm located in Irvine, California. Thereafter, Mr. Tabor became licensed to practice law in the state of California, where he focused his practice in the area of complex commercial and corporate law litigation. Mr. Tabor joined Kolar and Associates in early 2017, and now focuses his practice in the areas of consumer law and personal injury. Among Mr. Tabor’s skills is his persistence in quickly obtaining and accurately analyzing the relevant facts, allowing the firm and the client to establish a litigation plan for bringing the case to conclusion.
Mr. Tabor is a former nationally ranked chess player who has lived in multiple parts of the country, including St. Thomas, U.S.V.I.; Bloomington, Indiana; Indianapolis, Indiana; Nashville, Tennessee; and Costa Mesa, California.
